Players can quickly get a reliable mount of their own by finishing the main storyline, which is the best way to discover more of the game while moving at a faster pace. Later on, Henry can choose to buy a new horse from one of the many horse sellers in the game.
Without getting too anxious, it’s best to keep tabs on these numbers as well as a horse’s rank level and buy price, since they’ll influence how players wish to ride their horse and will essentially determine which horses are the best in the game.

With the highly anticipated release of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 just around the corner, we’re left wondering about the types of mounts that will be available. Currently, as it stands, fans of the first game know that there is a wide range of steeds to choose from, each with its own set of statistics and price tags, offering a broad spectrum of options for horse enthusiasts.
Podagros
For beginners, a suitable horse to start with is the Welsh Pony or a Pony of the Americas. These breeds are easy to handle. Many horse enthusiasts recommend them due to their calm temperament. Proper care and a well-trained pony are key to ensuring a harmonious experience for both the rider and the equine.
Podagros is a Tier 3 horse that can be bought from a vendor in Merhojed for 1620 gold. At an extremely affordable price, Podagros is the most budget-friendly option among its peers, making it an ideal companion for Henry. With its impressive speed and stamina, this horse will enable Henry to travel between towns swiftly, and its durability will allow it to withstand long journeys or threats, offering a reliable means of transportation for any adventure.
Podagros’ courage stat can be doubled in battle, allowing Henry to stay on its back more easily without being thrown off.
Agro
A Daring Stallion Discovered in ‘From The Ashes’ Expansion
A stable big enough to hold 35 horses costs 3100, which is a significant expense. The stable should be considered as a later upgrade in the Pribyslavitz rebuilding plan because it’s not a financially practical choice.
Purchasing Agro is a deeply personal and significant decision for players, as he comes with a choice to rebuild the stables, rendering him a symbol of prestige. Having a personal stable like the one at Pribyslavitz is considered an exclusive privilege. Statistically, Agro is an exceptional horse, particularly exceling in stamina, which puts him on par with Kanthaka. Indeed, his stats are unrivaled among all the horses, including those on the list, but his exclusivity renders him unattainable for many players.
Pebbles
A Balanced Approach Through Your Entire Gaming Session
Pebbles is a fairly average horse in terms of its abilities. However, using him as Henry’s mount has its benefits. One advantage is that there’s no cost to acquire Pebbles – you can get him for free after completing the ‘The Hunt Begins’ timed quest early in the game. He comes with a plain bridle and saddle when you start the quest. While a free horse isn’t necessarily the best, Pebbles has decent capacity and stamina, making him a workable option.
Pebbles can be upgraded with various items such as saddlebags, bridles, and horseshoes to enhance his capacity, speed, and bravery stats separately, making it effortless for players to use him well into the midpoint of the game without encountering significant difficulties.
Chollima
Trusted old reliable can outlast all horses.
.
For players wanting to carry heavy loads or engage in combat from horseback, Chollima isn’t the ideal selection. Due to subpar carrying capacity and bravery, it’s best used for lengthy journeys or when Henry wants to avoid battles. Chollima indeed fittingly lives up to its name, which means “a thousand li horse” when translated from Chinese, a unit of distance. Given that Chollima leads the pack in stamina, it’s only natural to associate this horse with a famous winged horse in East Asian mythology.
Shadowmere
Faster Than A Locomotive
Here’s the paraphrased text:
Shadowmere is the ideal horse for rapid long-distance travel while hauling large volumes of cargo. Among all horses, it excels in speed and cargo capacity, and ranks third in endurance. This exceptional balance of traits makes Shadowmere a must-have horse for navigating open terrain, collecting valuable resources, and returning to base to deposit those items.
Head to Pribyslavitz and locate the horse trader. On the plus side, it has a lot of cargo space, so several trips will likely cover the cost of purchasing the horse.
Warhorse Jenda
Luxurious, But Exceptional In Every Aspect
.
While “Warhorse Jenda” may seem pricey, players shouldn’t think twice about buying it, as it’s one of the top-tier level 5 horses out there, and few other options can surpass its value in the later stages of the game.
Pegasus
Most Value for Your Money
A more affordable alternative to pricier options is available in Uzhitz, where a local horse vendor is selling Pegasus for a mere 1,750 gold, making it one of the most budget-friendly Tier 4 horses on the market. Visiting Uzhitz, you won’t have many other options to choose from, with only seven horses in their stable, and fewer than half meeting the Tier 3 standards. For those looking to save money, Pegasus is a tough opponent to beat.
Henry has above-average bravery and endurance, making him last longer in combat than some of the other horses on this list, especially with the right gear. His one drawback is a significantly lower capacity rating, which drops him to the bottom of the list, but this small trade-off is a relatively minor expense.
Kanthaka
A Song of a Brave Horse in Bohemia
Kanthaka, at a bravery level of 20, ranks as the most fearless horse in the game, putting him on par with Agro, which can only be obtained through the game’s downloadable content. Kanthaka’s superior speed and stamina enable Henry to have greater flexibility when faced with the option to fight in battle or retreat and survive.
It’s crucial for Henry to have a dependable horse in the heat of battle, even if it doesn’t have to be the speediest or most resilient, like Kanthaka – who surprisingly, doesn’t compromise on several fronts.
