The new drink is characterized as a “refreshing combination of Sprite’s legendary lemon-lime taste and crisp iced tea flavors.” It also represents a first for the brand – rather than just adding a new flavor to the existing soda, it fuses it with a completely different drink.
There’s been a mixed reaction on social media to Sprite + Tea from soda fans who aren’t familiar with it. Some people are puzzled by the company’s decision, commenting, “Out of all the flavors they could’ve put out, they do this,” while a few others have simply labeled it “gross.”
