Confirming the news, co-creators Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez expressed their enthusiasm, saying: “We’re truly thrilled to dive back into storylines featuring Mickey Haller and we’re especially fortunate to be able to film The Lincoln Lawyer in Los Angeles again during this time.
This show is essentially a tribute to our city, paying respects to the rich heritage of LA noir, and given the devastating effect of the fires, we feel fortunate and proud to offer a sense of stability and hope to the community.
the actress who plays Mickey’s ex-wife and the mother of his daughter, will be reprising her part as Maggie McPherson.
From the very start, she had noticeably fewer scenes in season three, appearing as a guest star in only two episodes. However, with the start of season four, it’s expected that she’ll be featured in all 10 episodes, with a substantial storyline to develop her character.
A reunion has been brewing, bringing together Lorna, Jazz Raycole (Izzy), and Angus Sampson (Cisco) in an exciting lineup.
Following a public outcry on social media, a renewal of the series was strongly demanded during the 2024 season, when its third installment greatly rose in popularity among viewers on Netflix. Taking to the popular social media platform X, (formerly known as Twitter), numerous viewers pleaded with the streaming service to produce a fourth season.
“Finished The Lincoln Lawyer, hurry up with season 4,” one person wrote. “Just binge-watched season 3 – it was fantastic, albeit a bit too suspenseful to spread out! Now the wait is over for season 4,” said another.
Meantime, another viewer remarked, “Mickey’s luck has run out. How are they going to resolve the season like that? Next, is he going to go to jail and Lorna will have to represent him? I need the fourth season already.”
As fans recall, the third season concluded with a dramatic plot twist. Mickey, who had chosen to temporarily put his acting career on hold, set out on a solo drive in his Lincoln Continental, thinking he was leaving his troubles behind; however, his escape was quickly cut short when he was pulled over by the police.
When the police officer noticed Mickey’s missing license plate, his attention was drawn to a strange substance that resembled blood dripping from the bumper. Mickey’s lawyer, who was as skilled as he was argumentative, began to protest as the officer then popped open the trunk and found the body of Mickey’s former client and a notorious con artist, Sam Scales, who had been shot.
As the third season reached its conclusion, Mickey found himself facing a dramatic predicament, with murder charges hanging over his head and a strong likelihood he’d been set up. However, given his acquaintance with some capable and resourceful individuals, he might just be able to navigate this complex situation successfully.
