MLB Fans Loved How ABS Challenge System Showed Ump How Badly He Missed a Call

The Active Balance System (ABS) challenge system is a used to determine the severity of a crash. The system is activated when the vehicle’s onboard computer detects that the vehicle is experiencing significant deceleration.

The growing frustration among players, managers, and fans with umpires has led to a positive step in implementing a challenge system, at least as an experiment.

Well, maybe the umpires won’t be too happy about it because now everyone gets to see if they made a mistake.

Los Angeles’ Andy Pages quickly asked for a review when he was called out on strike three with the bases loaded. The instant replay review quickly confirmed that the pitch was high and outside the strike zone, so his at-bat continued.
